What NanoPaper is

NanoPaper is a cellulose-nanofiber (CNF) substrate engineered for printed and flexible electronics. It combines an ultra-smooth surface, dimensional stability through common cure profiles, and intrinsic electrical insulation.

What you can build

Sensors (pressure/strain, humidity, temperature), NFC/RFID antennas, low-power resistive heaters, and rapid interconnect prototypes. Start with screen or functional-ink inkjet printing.

Fast path to a first print (same day)

  1. Read Handling & Storage to acclimate sheets.

  2. Pick a test coupon (screen or inkjet) with line/space patterns and simple traces.

  3. Print → dry → anneal (per ink vendor) → quick adhesion check (tape / cross-hatch).

  4. Measure resistance and edge acuity; adjust mesh/viscosity/temperature as needed.

Equipment & inks (baseline)

  • Screen printing: 325–400 mesh; medium durometer; light snap-off.

  • Inkjet: vendor waveform; platen 30–45 °C; start with default drop spacing.

  • Inks: silver, carbon, PEDOT:PSS, and dielectrics (qualify with supplier).

  • Thermal: profiles up to ~225 °C have been used in partner trials (ink-dependent).
